Reading Skills Reading small passages from books and recalling details Oral Speaking Fluently describing oneself and engaging in conversation about hobbies and interests Interview Skills Specific P1 interview skills, such as conversational skills or non-academic testing Simple Grammar and Comprehension Writing

K3 - P4

Learning English as a Second Language Programme Reading Skill – Gradually work their way up from reading smaller passages to chapter books, understanding what is being written Comprehension – Reading and understanding year-level-appropriate articles, and being able to answer complex questions, deriving the answer from both implicit or explicit sources Grammar – Learn and master foundational English grammar skills and more, such as the English tenses, verbs, nouns, and adjectives Writing – Learn and develop a wide range of writing skills from different text types, establishing their own writing skills and style

P5 - P6

Secondary School Preparation Comprehension – Reading year-level appropriate materials, pushing students to understand what the text is truly saying instead of finding answers from the sentences Grammar – More advanced grammar techniques, such as phrasal verbs or idioms Writing – Developing essay writing skills and grasping a more versatile writing portfolio for different assignment requirements Presentation Skills Interview Skills

Oral and Reading

Purpose:

Communication is the key in all areas of life. With the aim of enabling students to convey their ideas confidently and fluently, oral class is designed to expand students’ vocabulary bank by incorporating different interactive learning mediums.

Content:

Our Oral Class adopts a theme-based approach. By focusing on a different topic each month, theme-based learning helps to learn become more relevant for students, facilitating them to explore topics ranging from daily life activities, to majestic nature, and to the wonders beyond the earth. Teachers will also adjust the difficulty of the class according to the student’s abilities.
